The urge to wanderlust makes me travel to different places and cities I have never travelled before. Not only this makes me meet new people but also explore their culture, heritage and food. I got this very exciting opportunity of visiting Tiruchirapally recently. There are many ways to reach the city from Chennai as it is nicely connected by flights and other means.

I searched for the best flights available from the international airport of Chennai to Trichy. The flights are direct from Chennai and available at very low prices if they are booked in advance by the passengers. Flights from Chennai to Tiruchirapally usually take 1 hour to cover the distance. I booked the seats in the economy class of the flight in Spice Jet airlines.

The flight departed the airport at the right time and the whole journey was very pleasant. I ordered a coffee and light snack from the on board menu of the airlines. After the flight landed at the airport I went to the hotel I booked for the travel. The hotel had sent me cab to receive from the airport. The travel booking app provided a decent three star hotel at a very good rate for the stay.

I changed and ordered some of the local cuisines from hotel’s in house restaurant. After this I planned to travel to two of the famous markets of the city.

Exploring the Famous Markets of Trichy

The first place I visited was Chinnar Bazar of the city. It is one of the beautiful markets of the city where you can buy lovely souvenirs and artefacts of all kinds in different shapes and sizes. Not only you can buy the local spices but also the handicrafts items of the region at very low and affordable prices. I bought a lot of stuff from this market for everyone. The deals and prices were very good and too good to be missed.

After visit to the spices market, the next place that I visited was New Femina Hyper mall of the city. It is one of the famous shopping markets where you can find branded clothes and accessories and all kinds of western clothes. The products at the mall are available at very low rates for everyone. Being the largest shopping single store in the city it is visited by people from all parts of the region. The prices of the products are very reasonable for everyone.

The shopping stint in Trichy was very good and I enjoyed the stay in the region which will be remembered for a long time.
